Call of Duty: Sneaker Edition

Keds has launched a Century Collection of shoes and this month is "Call of Duty". Khaki and camouflage give these 1940's Men's military-inspired shoes a bold, brave look. Leather binding and rawhide laces make this exclusive shoe strong enough to take on any challenge. Pretty awesome if you ask me. $55 at Keds.com

Your New Espresso Machine.

Quickmill is the maker of this fine machine that is handcrafted in Italy and this particular model goes by the name of Andreja. Its going to cost you an arm and leg but compared to a La Marzocco its a drop in the bucket. All I know is you will spend more at Starbucks in 2 years than you will on this machine that may last you 20. Enough Said.

Back To School Edition: O'Hanlon Mills Colorblock Backpack

Photo: Urban Outfitters
Sick. With the danger of potentially being a little hipsterish, (but well worth it) this backpack by O'Hanlon Mills and at $38.00 is a deal. Urban Outfitters currently has this in stock, but nothing good lasts forever so get on it!

Why A Verizon iPhone No Longer Matters.

The iPhone on Verizon once was a "unicorn" everyone wanted. This is no longer the case. With a 4 year AT&T exclusivity, it was only obvious that the Android handset would explode with a lack of options engulfing all other carriers.

In AT&T's defense, I must say being able to surf the web (data) and talk on the phone at the same time is pretty rad and only AT&T offers this feature out of all the carriers.

It does look like Verizon will be getting the iPhone in the next few months, but will it be a too little too late situation? Meanwhile Android handsets continue to fly off the shelves. The End.

Back To The Future Edition: Hover Board

Ummm. So Okay, Be prepared to be blown away. The guys over at Gizmodo.com have highlighted an artist by the name of Nils Guadagnin who has created the hover board from Back to the Future. Even though you cant really stand on it, its still sweet to think that this tech could be ported to automobiles and other various modes of transport. SICK.

Brand Awareness: Hard Graft

So there is an absolutely positively brilliant "case" maker by the name of Hard Graft and I think they are so special I am doing a follow up post as they have expanded their product line. Essentially they make laptop - iPad - iPhone - Mp3 - Ect - Cases that are both quality and design conscious. They have recently updated their website, I know because it was down for all of April when I was trying to get an iPhone case. In closing stop buying the tacky 2004 Incase "cases" to protect all your techno-toys and finally show up to the coffee bar with a piece of fresh in your hand.

Uncouple Your Phone From That Plastic

So I am always on the look out for a good phone case, something that doesn't just encase my phone in a plastic tomb, so I was really awe struck when I saw this case made by Hard Graft. Damn. And the great part is that they don't just make phone cases. Check them out and I think you will be as impressed as I am.
I want every single one.

Dont Break The Bank: Mamiya DM Series

Mamiya has released a slew of new medium format cameras with a badging of the DM Series. The new camera is coming in the flavors of 22, 28, 33, and 56 Megapixels; but the MPs aren't a game changer. The Price is. The DM 22 is starting at $9,995. That is not a typo. $9,995! Uh it will also sync at flash speeds of 1/1600th of a second. What You Should Be Listening To: Contra by Vampire Weekend

The Future Of Publishing: Wired Magazine

Browsing WIRED online today, they have a video of what they have been working on for tablets to be able to revolutionize publishing and the future looks good. Personally, this user experience looks a lot better and far more polished than the Sports Illustrator version, that I blogged about a few months back. I think the key here, as the interview states is that they are trying to enhance their brand by adding this new outlet while continuing to have a print version. Lets be honest, tablets aren't going to replace newspaper stands when they cost $500 dollars a pop; the reason why paper stands work is because people can grab and go and toss whenever they want. Still for us obsessed with seeing the envelope of the digital age pushed, this is an exciting time.

Microsoft finally makes something people want: Windows Phone 7 Series

Microsoft announced today that we will see a reinvention of their windows mobile platform into the Windows Phone 7 Series. What implications does this hold? Well they are getting into the fight with Apple IPhone, Google Android, and Symbian. The new phone features an experience oriented around the user bringing pictures, Facebook, and Xbox live to your phone. Overall the UI looks nice but a little clunky, lets be honest there is a hell of a lot going on here. The potential for the phone is endless especially if you can play your Xbox Live titles on your phone and then continue playing them when you get home on your Xbox. The phone is in beta right now but is due for a slew of press conferences and a release date in Holiday 2010.  MicrosoftPhone7 Series.com

Apple News: No iTablet - No iSlate - its iPad

So. The day everyone has been anticipating in the tech world has come and gone and Apple Inc. has finally released from their tight lipped mouths the iPad. Like an iPod but bigger. And a little better.
Featuring a 9.7" not quite 1080p resolution screen and a souped up version of the iPhone OS this little guy is bound to make jet-setters lives a little bit better. Right? Lots of debate going on and whether this is polished enough for the masses, I won't lie. It could be better, and hopefully in the next 60 days until release Apple announces some better features. Ahhhheeemmmmm. APPLE. THE NEXT 60 DAYS!
It will vary in cost from $499 for the entry level model all the way to $829 for all the bells and whistles. PS dont skimp and not get the 3g, you will realize how stupid you were as soon as you leave your front porch.

Check Out Engadget for all the latest coverage on the new device.

Treat Yourself: Bicycles

So I recently stumbled upon this bicycle company based out of Italy that makes some killer bicycles. The company is Abici and their cruisers are by far my favorite city bikes I have seen. You can pick up his and her bicycles for less than a grand each. I never said they were affordable :) but remember you pay for what you get. Anywho, they will most likely get stolen before you get to ride yours anyway.

New Years Resolution: Ditch Cable (and Satellite)

Happy New Years everyone and here is a resolution for us all. Stop paying for TV. Want to know how? I'll cut to the chase. There are computers out there that you can buy on the cheap (less than $200) and will stream 1080P High Definition to your TV through HDMI. My favorite right now is the ACER Revo and by installing free software from XBMC will turn this puppy into an Entertainment Machine. So instead of paying for things that you could watch for free on the internet through HULU and other downloads. SAWEET. I have attached screenshots from XBMC below.
